Keeping me up at night Part 1

This week I will be writing about some things that keep me up at night. I shared these questions last Wednesday night. I don't get to share personal things all the time at church, but I felt like God wanted me to share them, so that is what I will do this whole week. The first thing that keeps me up at night is this question: "What can we do to reach our community"? This question is daunting, exciting, frustrating and just plain hard to answer. I have lost several hours of sleep by this single question. Once we ask the question of what we can do to reach the community, we then move to who do we want to reach? What is our target? Lately that has been defined by Life Kids. We want to reach kids, so how do we do that? We had a pumpkin patch party, we had ads in the paper, internet, flyers all around town, annouced it at school and did all we could to get our kids to invite kids. We have been blessed by what God has done. But it all started with a question. We need to be praying for our community. We know God will give us opportunities to reach out. We have to be willing to ask this question if we plan on reaching Clarinda and the surrounding communities. God, we declare that you are the Lord of Clarinda.
